RACECOURSE (LEVY) (PERCENTAGE) REGULATIONS, 1985.

The Racing Board in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 27 of the Racing Board and Racecourses Act, 1945 (No. 16 of 1945), as amended by Section 3 of the Racing Board and Racecourses (Amendment) Act, 1975 (No. 11 of 1975), with the consent of the Minister for Agriculture, hereby makes the following Regulations.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Racecourse (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1985.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1985.

2. The levy payable for the time being on a course bet shall be five per cent of such course bet.

3. The Racecourse (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 181 of 1980 ), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Regulations is that from 1st April, 1985 a levy at the rate of five per cent will be payable to the Racing Board on course bets at authorised racecourses.
