LITTER ACT, 1982 (SECTION 5 PAYMENT) REGULATIONS, 1986.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 (4) of the Litter Act, 1982 (No. 11 of 1982) hereby makes the following Regulations:--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Litter Act, 1982 (Section 5 Payment) Regulations, 1986.

2. These Regulations shall come into effect on the 1st day of July, 1986.

3. The amount standing specified in subsection (1)(b) of section 5 of the Litter Act, 1982 shall be £25.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations vary from £5 to £25 the amount which a person who is liable to be prosecuted for an offence under section 3 of the Litter Act, 1982 , may pay to the local authority within 21 days of the date of the giving of a notice pursuant to section 5 of that Act.
