BOVINE DISEASES (LEVIES) REGULATIONS, 1987. |

I, MICHAEL O'KENNEDY, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 (2) and 19 (1) of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), hereby make the following Regulations: |

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1987. |
||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 20th day of April, 1987. |
||
2. The amount of levy payable under section 2 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), shall |
||
(a) as regards milk be 1.1 penny per gallon, |
||
(b) as regards animals slaughtered or exported live be £6.50 per animal. |
||
3. The Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1984 ( S.I. No. 272 of 1984 ), are hereby revoked. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
These Regulations which come into effect on 20 April, 1987 prescribe new rates of disease levy on milk for processing and on bovine animals slaughtered or exported live. |
