REDUNDANCY PAYMENTS (CORK PORT DOCKERS) REGULATIONS, 1987. |

I, BERTIE AHERN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 35 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), hereby make the following regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Redundancy payments (Cork Port Dockers) Regulations, 1987. |
||
2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1985. |
||
3. For the purpose of the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 1984, Cork Port Facilities Limited shall be treated as the employer of all Dockers working in the port of Cork. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The purpose of these regulations is to provide that, for the purpose of calculating redundancy payments entitlements of workers disemployed under a scheme of rationalisation of dockers employed in the Port of Cork, their periods of service with member companies of Cork Port Facilities Limited can be aggregated. |
