LABOUR SERVICES ACT, 1987 (ESTABLISHMENT DAY) ORDER, 1987.

I, BERTIE AHERN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 2 of the Labour Services Act, 1987 (No. 15 of 1987), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Labour Services Act, 1987 (Establishment Day) Order, 1987.

2. The 1st day of January, 1988, is hereby appointed to be the establishment day for the purposes of the Labour Services Act, 1987 (No. 15 of 1987).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints the 1st day of January, 1988, as the day on which An Foras Áiseanna Saothair will be established. An Foras will take over the functions of AnCO the National Manpower Service and the Youth Employment Agency which will cease to exist.
