DUBLIN AREA TRAFFIC AND PARKING BYE-LAWS, 1987. |

The Dublin Transport Authority in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 89 and 90 [as amended by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 , (No. 25 of 1968)] of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) as transferred by sections 32 and 33 of the Dublin Transport Authority Act, 1986 (No. 15 of 1986), hereby makes the following bye-laws in respect of the Authority's functional area. |

1. These bye-laws may be cited as the Dublin Area Traffic and Parking Bye-Laws, 1987. |
||
2. Bye-Law 2 of the Dublin Area Traffic and Parking Bye-Laws, 1986 ( S.I. No. 182 of 1986 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of the following definition for that of "business hours":-- |
||
"'business hours' means the period from 8.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on a weekday which is not a Saturday or a holiday;". |

The Minister for the Environment having considered any representations made to him by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána and the local authorities concerned in respect of the foregoing bye-laws hereby approves of the foregoing bye-laws. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE |
||
These Bye-Laws substitute a new definition of "business hours" for that in the Dublin Area Traffic and Parking Bye-Laws, 1986 so as to bring the Borough of Dun Laoghaire into line with the rest of the Dublin area. |
