ADOPTION RULES, 1988.

An Bord Uchtála, with the consent of the Minister for Health and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 5 of the Adoption Act, 1952 (No. 25 of 1952), hereby makes the following rules:--

1. These rules may be cited as the Adoption Rules, 1988.

2. The Adoption Rules, 1976 ( S.I. No. 216 of 1976 ), the Adoption Rules, 1984 ( S.I. No. 134 of 1984 ) and these Rules shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Adoption Rules, 1976 to 1988.

3. Each of the forms set out in the Schedule shall be used in the case and manner indicated by the form.

In accordance with Section 2 (1) (c) of the Adoption Act, 1988 , you are hereby requested to attend a meeting with An Bord Uchtála at on the day of 19 at a.m./p.m. in respect of the above application.

DECLARATION BY AN BORD UCHTÁLA PURSUANT TO SECTION 2 of THE ADOPTION ACT, 1988

An Bord Uchtála, having heard the Health Board, being the health board in whose functional area the said applicant/s ordinarily reside(s) and the persons named in the Schedule hereto, being satisfied that, if an order under section 3 (1) of the Adoption Act, 1988 , in relation to the child to whom the said application for an adoption order relates, were made in favour of the applicant/s, it would be proper, having regard to the Adoption Acts, 1952 to 1988, to make the adoption order.

HEREBY ADJOURNS the application and

DECLARES that, if an order is made under section 3 (1) of the Adoption Act, 1988 , it will, subject to section 2 (2) of the said Act, make the adoption order sought.
