TRUSTEE SAVINGS BANKS ACT, 1989 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1990.

I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Trustee Savings Banks Act, 1989 (No. 21 of 1989), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Trustee Savings Banks Act, 1989 (Commencement) Order, 1990.

2. The 1st day of February 1990, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Trustee Savings Banks Act, 1989 (No. 21 of 1989) (other than sections 17 and 18), shall come into operation.

3. The 15th day of March, 1990, is hereby fixed as the day on which the said sections 17 and 18 shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings the Trustee Savings Banks Act, 1989 (No. 21 of 1989) into operation on 1 February 1990, except for sections 17 and 18 which will come into operation on 15 March, 1990.
