HEALTH (IN-PATIENT CHARGES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1990. |

The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and section 53 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970) with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following regulations: |

1. These regulations may be cited as the Health (In-Patient Charges) (Amendment) Regulations, 1990. |
||
2. Article 4 of the Health (In-Patient Charges) Regulations, 1987 ( S.I. No. 116 of 1987 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of "£12.50" for "£10" and by the substitution of "£125" for "£100" in sub-article (2). |
||
3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1991. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
These Regulations amend the Health (In-Patient Charges) Regulations, 1987 by raising the daily charge for in-patient services from £10 to £12.50 and by raising the maximum amount payable in any period of twelve consecutive months from £100 to £125. |
