LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1991, (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1991.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (10) of the Local Government Act, 1991 (No. 11 of 1991), hereby orders as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1991 , (Commencement) Order, 1991.

2. On the 21st day of May, 1991 Part I other than sections 1 (9) and 4, Part III other than section 12, Part IV and sections 47 , 52 and 55 (1) of the Local Government Act, 1991 shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 21st day of May, 1991 provisions of the Local Government Act, 1991 relating to local elections, reorganisation of local government for county Dublin and certain other matters.
