S.I. No. 292/1991:

CHILD CARE ACT, 1991 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1991.

CHILD CARE ACT, 1991 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1991.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by Section 1 (2) of the Child Care Act, 1991 (No. 17 of 1991), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Child Care Act, 1991 (Commencement) Order, 1991.

2. Part I and Sections 71 and 74 of the Child Care Act, 1991 shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1991.

day of November, 1991.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to bring section 74 of the Child Care Act, 1991 into operation. That section makes it an offence to sell solvent based substances to children for "glue-sniffing".
