MARINE (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1993.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for the Marine and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Marine (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for the Marine conferred on him by or under the Acts specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Gerry O'Sullivan, Minister of State at the Department of the Marine.

SCHEDULE

Fisheries Acts, 1959 to 1991, insofar as they relate to inland fisheries.

Merchant Shipping Acts, 1894 to 1992.

Mercantile Marine Act, 1955 (No. 29 of 1955).

Pilotage Act, 1913.

Harbours (Regulation of Rates) Act, 1934 (No. 2 of 1934).

Harbours Acts, 1946 to 1976.

Fishery Harbour Centres Act, 1968 (No. 18 of 1968).

Free Ports Act, 1986 (No. 6 of 1986).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order delegates to Gerry O'Sullivan, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of the Marine, the powers and duties of the Minister for the Marine under the Acts specified in the Schedule to this Order.
