HEALTH (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1993.

HEALTH (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1993.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Health and in exercise of the powers conferred on them section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Health (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Health conferred on him by or under the enactments specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to William O'Dea, Minister of State at the Department of Health.

SCHEDULE

Milk and Dairies Acts, 1935 to 1988.

Part V and VI of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and section 5 of that Act.

Poisons Acts, 1961 and 1977.

Misuse of Drugs Acts, 1977 and 1984.

Section 59 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 23 of 1953).

Section 5 of the Child Care Act, 1991 (No. 17 of 1991).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to delegate the powers and duties referred to therein of the Minister for Health to William O'Dea, Minister of State at the Department of Health.
