SOCIAL WELFARE (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1993.

SOCIAL WELFARE (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1993.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Social Welfare and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Social Welfare conferred on him by or under the Combat Poverty Agency Act, 1986 (No. 14 of 1986) are hereby delegated to Joan Burton, Minister of State at the Department of Social Welfare.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 9th day of February, 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order delegates to Joan Burton, Minister of State at the Department of Social Welfare, the Statutory powers and duties of the Minister for Social Welfare mentioned in the Order.
