REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (WATERFORD) ORDER, 1994

REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (WATERFORD) ORDER, 1994

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 17 and 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Sections 17 and 18) (Waterford) Order, 1994.

2. The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Dungarvan, Kilmacthomas, Lismore and Waterford shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Waterford.

3. The division of the County of Waterford into Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows:

( a ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballymacarbry, Kilsheelan No. 2, Rathgormack and St. Mary's shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Rathgormack.

( b ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Kilmeaden and Portlaw shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Portlaw.

( c ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Bunmahon, Dungarvan, Kilmacthomas, Ringville and Seskinane shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Dungarvan.

( d ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Ardmore, Ballyduff, Cappoquin, Clashmore, Lismore, Tallow and Whitechurch shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Lismore.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Superintendent Registrars' Districts and Registrars' Districts in the County of Waterford so as to reduce the number of such districts in that county.
