REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (KILKENNY) ORDER, 1994.

REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (KILKENNY) ORDER, 1994.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 17 and 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Sections 17 and 18) (Kilkenny) Order, 1994.

2. The division of the County of Kilkenny into Superintendent Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows:

( a ) The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Kilkenny and Urlingford shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Kilkenny.

( b ) The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Callan and Thomastown shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Thomastown.

3. The division of the County of Kilkenny into Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows:

( a ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Kilkenny No. 1 and Kilkenny No. 2 shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Kilkenny.

( b ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Freshford, Gowran, Tiscoffin, Tullaroan and Urlingford shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Urlingford.

( c ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Dysartmoon, Graiguenamanagh, Inistiogue, and Thomastown shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Thomastown.

( d ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Kilmoganny, Knocktopher, Piltown and Ullid shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Piltown.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Superintendent Registrars' Districts and Registrars' Districts in the County of Kilkenny so as to reduce the number of such districts in that county.
