ETHICS IN PUBLIC OFFICE ACT, 1995 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1995. |

The Government in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 (2) (a) (i) of the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995 (No. 22 of 1995), hereby order as follows: |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995 (Commencement) Order, 1995. |
||
|
2. (1) Subject to paragraph (2), the first day of November, 1995, is hereby appointed as the day upon which the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995 (No. 22 of 1995), shall come into operation. |
||
|
(2) Subparagraph (1) does not apply to-- |
||
|
( a ) Part II, |
||
|
( b ) Part III in so far as it relates to the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of each House of the Oireachtas, and |
||
|
( c ) Parts V and VI in so far as they relate to members of either such House. |
||
|
