DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE (ALLOCATION OF DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION AND BUSINESS) ORDER, 1995.

DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE (ALLOCATION OF DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION AND BUSINESS) ORDER, 1995.

SCHEDULE.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Department of Finance (Allocation of Departmental Administration and Business) Order, 1995.

2. The administration and business of public services in connection with--

(a) the Ad Hoc Commission on Divorce Referendum Information established by the Government, and

(b) the publication by or on behalf of the Government by radio, television or any other means of notices or statements reminding those entitled to vote at the poll at the referendum on the proposal to amend the Constitution contained in the Fifteenth Amendment of the Constitution (No. 2) Bill, 1995, of that entitlement and informing them of the date of the poll,

are hereby allocated to the Department of Finance.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Statutory Instrument allocates to the Department of Finance the administration and business of public services in connection with the Ad Hoc Commission on Divorce Referendum Information and the advertising campaign undertaken by the Government reminding the electorate to vote on 24 November, 1995, the date of the referendum on the constitutional amendment in regard to divorce.
