PATENTS (INTERNATIONAL ARRANGEMENTS) ORDER, 1996 |

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 3(4) and section 25 (5) of the Patents Act, 1992 (No. 1 of 1992 ), hereby order as follows: |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Patents (International Arrangements) Order, 1996. |
||
|
2. In this Order -- |
||
|
"Country of the World Trade Organisation" means a country which has ratified or has acceded to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organisation Done at Marrakesh on the 15th day of April, 1994. |
||
|
3. It is hereby declared that subsections (1) to (4) of section 25 of the Patents Act, 1992 (No. 1 of 1992 ), shall apply in the case of the countries of the World Trade Organisation. |
||
|
4. The Patents Act, 1964 (Section 93)(Declaration) Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 314 of 1976 ), is hereby revoked. |
||
