HEALTH (AMENDMENT) (NO. 3) ACT, 1996 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1997.

I, MICHAEL NOONAN, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25 of the Health (Amendment) (No. 3) Act, 1996 (No. 32 of 1996), hereby order as follows:

1. This order may be cited as the Health (Amendment) (No. 3) Act, 1996 (Commencement) Order, 1997.

2. The 1st day of January, 1998, is hereby appointed as the day on which Paragraph (b) of the definition of expenditure in section I, and sections 5, 6,7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 of the Health (Amendment) (No. 3) Act, 1996 (No. 32 of 1996), shall come into operation. These sections shall apply in respect of every financial year beginning on or after the 1st day of January, 1998.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for the commencement of sections 5, 6,7, 8,9, 10 and 12 of the Health (Amendment) (No. 3) Act, 1996 (No. 32 of 1996).
