The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (6) (c) of the Electoral Act, 1997 (No. 25 of 1997), hereby orders as follows: |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Act, 1997 (Commencement) Order, 1997. |
||
|
2. Section 77 of the Electoral Act, 1997 shall come into operation on the date of the making of this Order. |
||
|

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
This order brings the provisions of Section 77 of the Electoral Act, 1997 relating to expenses of returning officers at elections and referenda into operation on the date of this order. |
