ENVIRONMENT AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1997 |
||
The Government, on the request of the Minister for the Environment and Local Government and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows: |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Environment and Local Government (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1997. |
||
2. All the powers and duties of the Minister for the Environment and Local Government conferred |
||
( a ) by the Acts, or parts of the Acts, specified in the Schedule to this Order, and |
||
( b ) by the European Communities Act, 1972 , in so far as it relates to the making of regulations for the purposes of giving effect to acts adopted by the institutions of the European Communities in relation to the protection and improvement of the environment; |
||
are hereby delegated to Dan Wallace, Minister of State at the Department of the Environment and Local Government. |
