The Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs in exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister by section 15 (5) of the Social Welfare Act, 1995 (No. 3 of 1995), hereby orders as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1995 (Section 15) (Commencement: Order, 1997. |

2. The 26th day of November, 1997, is hereby appointed as the day on which section 15 of the Social Welfare Act, 1995 (No. 3 of 1995), shall come into operation. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE |
||
|
This Order provides that section 15 of the Social Welfare Act, 1995 will come into effect on the 26th day of November, 1997. |
||
|
Section 15 provides for regulatory powers under which a person may qualify for payment of reduced rates of Qualified Adult Allowance where the spouse's weekly income is in excess of £60 but does not exceed £90. |
