REGIONAL FISHERIES BOARDS (POSTPONEMENT OF ELECTIONS) ORDER, 1997

I, MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 15 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Marine (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 301 of 1997 )) hereby order as follows:.

1. This Order may be cited as the Regional Fisheries Boards (Postponement of Elections) Order, 1997.

2. The year 1998 is hereby fixed as the year in which the elections of members of regional boards (which, but for this Article, would fall to be held in the year 1997) shall be held.
