LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1998 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1998. |

The Minister for the Environment and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 15 (4) of the Local Government Act, 1998 , hereby orders as follows: |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1998 (Commencement) Order, 1998. |
||
|
2. Sections 9 , 10 and 15 of the Local Government Act, 1998 , shall come into operation on the date of the making of this Order. |
||
|

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
This order commences sections 9 , 10 and 15 of the Local Government Act, 1998 which amend certain provisions of the Local Government Act, 1994 and provides for elections to every local authority to be held in 1999. |
