CHILD ABDUCTION AND ENFORCEMENT OF CUSTODY ORDERS ACT, 1991 (CONTRACTING STATES)(HAGUE CONVENTION)(REVOCATION) ORDER, 1998

I, DAVID ANDREWS, T.D., Minister for Foreign Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 4 (3) of the Child Abduction and Enforcement of Custody Orders Act, 1991 (No. 6 of 1991), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Child Abduction and Enforcement of Custody Orders Act, 1991 (Contracting States) (Hague Convention) (Revocation) Order, 1998.

2. The Child Abduction and Enforcement of Custody Orders Act, 1991 (Contracting States) (Hague Convention) Order, 1998 ( S.I. No. 238 of 1998 ) is hereby revoked.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 10th day of December, 1998.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of this Order is to revoke, in accordance with Section 4 (3) of the Child Abduction and Enforcement of Custody Orders Act, 1991 , the Child Abduction and Enforcement of Custody Orders Act, 1991 (Contracting States) (Hague Convention) Order, 1998 ( S.I. No. 238 of 1998 ).
