DUBLIN DOCKLANDS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ACT, 1997 (TRANSFER OF LAND) (NO. 1) ORDER, 1999.

The Minister for the Environment and Local Government, in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 28 of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act, 1997 ( No. 7 of 1997 ), after consultation with Bord Gáis Éireann and with the consent of the Minister for Public Enterprise and the Minister for Finance hereby orders as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act, 1997 (Transfer of Land) (No. 1) Order, 1999.

2. This order shall come into operation on the 9th day of February, 1999.

3. In this Order the “Lands at the Grand Canal Docks in Dublin” means the lands in the County Borough of Dublin bounded by a line commencing at a point where Sir John Rogerson's Quay meets Cardiff Lane (hereinafter the “first mentioned point”) then continuing in an easterly direction along Sir John Rogerson's Quay to a point where it intersects with the River Dodder, then continuing in a southerly direction to a point where it intersects with Ringsend Road, then continuing in a westerly direction along Ringsend Road and along Pearse Street to a point where it intersects with Macken Street and then continuing in a northerly direction along Macken Street and Cardiff Lane to the first mentioned point.

4. In this Order any reference to a line drawn along any street, road, quay, lane or river shall be construed as a line drawn along the centre of such street, road, quay, lane or river as the case may be.

5. All land howsoever vested in Bord Gáis Éireann in the lands at the Grand Canal Docks in Dublin together with all rights, powers and privileges relating to or connected with such land is hereby transferred to the Dublin Docklands Development Authority to be held by the Authority for all the estate, rights, title and interest for which the same is held by Bord Gáis Éireann.
