Copyright and Related Rights (Material Open To Public Inspection) (International Organisations) Order, 2000.

I, TOM KITT, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 74(7), 240(7) and 334(7) of the S.I. No. 330 of 1997 ), hereby order as follows:

1.        This Order may be cited as the Copyright and Related Rights (Material Open to Public Inspection)(International Organisations) Order, 2000, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of January 2001.

2.        Subsections (1) to (5) of sections 74, 240 and 334 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000 , shall apply to any material contained in registers made open to public inspection by the-

(a) European Patent Office;

(b) World Intellectual Property Organization; or

(c) Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

This order provides that subsections (1) to (5) of sections 74, 240 and 334 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000 will apply to material made open to public inspection by the European Patent Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs).
