Planning and Development Act, 2000 (Commencement) Order, 2001 |
||||||
|
The Minister for the Environment and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 270 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 ( No.30 of 2000 ) hereby orders as follows: |
||||||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (Commencement) Order, 2001. |
||||||
|
2. On 17th April, 2001, the following sections of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 shall come into operation - |
||||||
|
(a) section 2 insofar as it relates to the sections referred to in paragraphs (b) to (e) of this article, |
||||||
|
(b) sections 156, 157 and 158 insofar as they relate to prosecutions under sections 230, 233 or 235, |
||||||
|
(c) Part XVI (other than section 239), |
||||||
|
(d) subsections (1) (other than paragraphs (a), (b), (c) and (e) of that subsection) and (3)(a) of section 246, and |
||||||
|
(e) section 268(2). |

||||||
|
This Order brings all sections of Part XVI (Events and Funfairs) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 into force, except for section 239 which relates to funfairs. It also commences certain related sections in the Act, including those relating to the prosecution of offences specified in Part XVI. |
