REFERENDUM ACT, 1998

Referendum Commission (Establishment) Order, 2001

The Minister for the Environment and Local Government, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 2 of the Referendum Act, 1998 ( No. 1 of 1998 ), hereby orders as follows:

1.       This order may be cited as the Referendum Commission (Establishment) Order, 2001.

2.       A Referendum Commission is hereby established to undertake the functions assigned to it by the Referendum Act, 1998 in relation to the proposal for an amendment of the Constitution contained in the Twenty-First Amendment of the Constitution (No. 2) Bill, 2001.
