Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (Section 14) Order, 2001. |

I Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14(1) of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (No. 8 of 1993) , hereby order as follows: |

1. (1) This order may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (Section 14) Order, 2001. |
||||||||
(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into operation on 25 September 2000. |
||||||||
2. Subject to Article 3 of this Order, on and from 25 September 2000 the annual rate of remuneration of the Comptroller and Auditor General shall be £100,506. |
||||||||
3. On and from 1 March 2001 the annual rate of remuneration of the Comptroller and Auditor General shall be £111,083. |
||||||||
4. The Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (Section 14) Order, 2000 ( S.I. No. 7 of 2000 ), is revoked. |

This Order applies increases with effect from 25 September 2000 and 1 March 2001 to the salary of the Comptroller and Auditor General, arising from the recommendations in Report No. 38 of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector. The increase with effect from 1 March 2001 takes account of a general pay increase on 1 October 2000 under the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness. |
