Finance Act, 2001 (Commencement of Part 2) Order, 2001

I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 152 of the Finance Act, 2001 ( No. 7 of 2001 ), hereby order as follows:

1.       This Order may be cited as the Finance Act, 2001 (Commencement of Part 2) Order, 2001.

2.       The 1st day of October, 2001, is appointed as the day on which Part 2 of the Finance Act, 2001 comes into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order appoints the 1st day of October, 2001 as the date for coming into operation of the provisions of Part 2 of the Finance Act, 2001 . This Part consolidates and modernizes general excise law.
