Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2006

Made by the Minister for Finance.

I, Brian Cowen, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14(1) of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (No. 8 of 1993), hereby order as follows:

1.                 This Order may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2006.

2.                 On and from 1 January 2006 the annual rate of remuneration of the Comptroller and Auditor General is €213,507.

3.                 The Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2005 ( S.I. No. 381 of 2005 ) is revoked.

This Order applies an increase with effect from 1 January 2006 to the salary of the Comptroller and Auditor General, arising from the recommendations in Report N 40. of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector.
