I, Martin Cullen, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13(2) of the Aer Lingus Act 2004 (No. 10 of 2004), hereby order as follows 1. This Order may be cited as the Aer Lingus Act 2004 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) (No. 2) Order 2006. 2. The 27th day of September 2006 is appointed as the day on which sections 4 and 12 of the Aer Lingus Act 2004 (No. 10 of 2004) come into operation. 3. The 27th day of September 2006 is appointed as the day on which the Schedule to and section 2 of the Aer Lingus Act 2004 comes into operation other than as respects- |

(a) sections 1, 7, 8, 9 and 23(1) of the Air Companies Act 1966 , and |
||
(b) sections 1, 3 and 8 of the Air Companies (Amendment) Act 1969 . |

The purpose of this Order is to commence Sections 4 and 12 of the Aer Lingus Act 2004 concerning the issue of new shares by the Company and certain Acts not to apply to the Company. |
