EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (CABLEWAY INSTALLATIONS DESIGNED TO CARRY PERSONS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2007

I, NOEL DEMPSEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) hereby make the following regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. -(1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Cableway Installations Designed to Carry Persons) (Amendment) Regulations 2007.

(2) These Regulations shall come into effect on the day immediately following the day on which notice of their making is published in the Iris Oifigi�il.

Substitution of Regulation 15

2. -The European Communities (Cableway Installations Designed to Carry Persons) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 470 of 2003 ) are amended by substituting for Regulation 15 the following Regulation:

Competent authority.

�15. -(1) The Railway Safety Commission is the competent authority for the purposes of these Regulations.

(2) For the purposes of the Railway Safety Act 2005 , the functions of the competent authority under these Regulations are to be taken to be included in the functions of the Railway Safety Commission under that Act.�.
