GARDA S�OCH�NA (RETIREMENT) REGULATIONS 2007

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, after consulting the Commissioner of the Garda S�och�na and with the approval of the Government, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 122 of the Garda S�och�na Act 2005, make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Garda S�och�na (Retirement) Regulations 2007.

2. Notwithstanding anything contained in-

(a) the Garda S�och�na (Retirement) Regulations 1934 (S.R. & O. No. 146 of 1934),

(b) Garda S�och�na (Retirement) (No. 2) Regulations 1951 ( S.I. No. 335 of 1951 ),

(c) the Garda S�och�na (Retirement) Regulations 1990 ( S.I. No. 318 of 1990 ),

(d) the Garda S�och�na (Retirement) Regulations 1996 ( S.I. No. 16 of 1996 ),

(e) the Garda S�och�na (Retirement) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 680 of 2006 ), or

(f) the Garda S�och�na (Retirement) (No. 2) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 686 of 2006 ),

as continued in force by section 128 of the Garda S�och�na Act 2005, the member of the Garda S�och�na to whom the Garda S�och�na (Retirement) Regulations 2006 apply shall retire on 21 November 2009.

The Government hereby approve of the making of the foregoing regulations.
