HEALTH (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 2009 (COMMENCEMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER 2009

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 2nd October, 2009.

I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(4) of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2009.

2. The 1st day of October 2009 is appointed as the day on which Part 3 of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order brings Part 3 of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 into operation. Part 3 provides for the dissolution of the Women's Health Council and for the transfer of the Council's employees, liabilities, property etc. to the Minister for Health and Children.
