S.I. No. 662/2010 - Fines Act 2010 (Commencement) Order 2010.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 7th January, 2011.

I, DERMOT AHERN, Minister for Justice and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Fines Act 2010 (No. 8 of 2010) (as adapted by the Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2010 ( S.I. No. 216 of 2010 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Fines Act 2010 (Commencement) Order 2010.

2. The 4th day of January 2011 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Fines Act 2010 (No. 8 of 2010) shall come into operation:

(a) Parts 1 and 2; and

(b) sections 12 and 14.

This Statutory Instrument brings into operation Parts 1 and 2 and sections 12 and 14 of the Fines Act 2010 .
