I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving further effect to Commission Decision 2010/734/EU of 30 November 20101 , hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) (Amendment) Regulations 2011.

2. The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 96 of 2007 ) are amended in Regulation 2(1) by substituting for the definition of "Commission Decision" the following-

" 'Commission Decision' means Commission Decision 2007/25/EC of 22 December 2006 and Commission Decision 2010/734/EU of 30 November 2010;".
