I, JOAN BURTON, Minister for Social Protection, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (4) of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2010 (No. 37 of 2010), hereby order as follows: |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2010 (Part 4) (Commencement) Order 2011. |
||
2. The 22nd day of September 2011 is appointed as the day on which Part 4 of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2010 (No. 37 of 2010) comes into operation. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE |
||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) |
||
This Order provides for the commencement of Part 4 of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2010 . Part 4 of that Act enables the transfer of the Community Welfare Service of the Health Service Executive to the Department of Social Protection. |
||
The making of this Order empowers the Minister for Social Protection to make the relevant Transfer Day and Appointment Day Orders that are necessary in order to transfer the relevant staff, property and premises of the Health Service Executive to the Department of Social Protection which is scheduled for the beginning of October 2011. |
