S.I. No. 31/2012 - Industrial Designs (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

"Iris Oifigiúil" of 3rd February, 2012.

I, SEÁN SHERLOCK, Minister of State at the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 9 (1), 43 (2), 44 (3) and 85 of the Industrial Designs Act 2001 (No. 39 of 2001) and the Enterprise, Trade and Innovation (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 4) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 241 of 2011 ) (as adapted by the Enterprise, Trade and Innovation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 245 of 2011 )), and in relation to the said section 9(1), with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Industrial Designs (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

(2) These Regulations come into operation on 1 February 2012.

2. Schedule 1 to the Industrial Designs Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No. 280 of 2002 ) is amended-

(a) by substituting the following text for the text set out in columns (1), (2) and (3) of reference number 8-

On request for deferment of publication under section 32 of the Principal Act for a period of up to 30 months

35. 00

(b) by substituting the following text for the text set out in columns (1), (2) and (3) of reference number 14:

14	On application for the renewal of the design right under section 43(2) of the Principal Act
	(i) for a second period of 5 years	50. 00
	(ii) for a third period of 5 years	70. 00
	(iii) for a fourth period of 5 years	80. 00
	(iv) for a fifth period of 5 years	100. 00

and

The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform consents to the making of the foregoing Regulations.
