I, PHIL HOGAN, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (7) of section 1 of the Electoral, Local Government and Planning and Development Act 2013 (No. 27 of 2013), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral, Local Government and Planning and Development Act 2013 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2013.

2. The 7th day of November 2013 is appointed as the day on which Part 5 of the Electoral, Local Government and Planning and Development Act 2013 (No. 27 of 2013) comes into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

This Order brings into operation Part 5 of the Electoral, Local Government and Planning and Development Act 2013 , which repeals sections 21 (c) and 22 of the Referendum Act 1994 , dealing with requirements in relation to making available for inspection and purchase at post offices copies of a Bill containing a proposal which is the subject of a referendum.
