The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 87 (3) of the Sea Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No. 8 of 2006), hereby orders as follows: |
||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Maritime Jurisdiction (Boundaries of Exclusive Economic Zone) Order 2014. |
||
(2) This Order shall come into operation on 31 March 2014. |
||
2. The boundary of the exclusive economic zone of the State in the Irish Sea and the Celtic Sea is formed by a series of geodesic lines connecting the following points defined by co-ordinates of latitude and longitude on the World Geodetic System 1984 datum (WGS 1984), in the sequence given below: |

3. The boundary of the exclusive economic zone of the State in the North-East Atlantic Ocean is formed by a series of geodesic lines connecting the following points defined by co-ordinates of latitude and longitude on the World Geodetic System 1984 datum (WGS 1984), in the sequence given below: |

4. As provided by Section 87 (2) of the Sea Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 , the outer limit of the exclusive economic zone between reference number 84 set out in Article 2 of this Order and reference number 115 set out in Article 3 of this Order is the line every point of which lies at a distance of 200 nautical miles from the nearest point of the baseline. |

5. The Maritime Jurisdiction (Exclusive Fishery Limits) Order 1976 ( S.I. No. 320 of 1976 ) is revoked. |
