I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Chapters I, V and VII of Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of 24 November 20101 , hereby make the following regulations- |

Citation |

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Installations and Activities Using Organic Solvents) (Amendment) Regulations 2014. |
||
(2) The Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Union (Installations and Activities Using Organic Solvents) Regulations 2012 and 2014. |
||
Definitions |
||
2. In these Regulations "Principal Regulations" means the European Union (Installations and Activities Using Organic Solvents) Regulations 2012 ( S.I. No. 565 of 2012 ). |
||
Amendments to the Principal Regulations |
||
3. The Principal Regulations are amended by deleting paragraph (2) of Regulation 27. |

(This note is not part of the Regulation and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) |

These Regulations amend the European Union (Installations and Activities Using Organic Solvents) Regulations 2012 ( S.I. No. 565 of 2012 ) by removing the provision for indictable offences whereby a person guilty of an offence was liable on conviction on indictment to a fine not exceeding €100,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both such fine and such imprisonment. The provision for summary offences remains. |
