Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 16th June, 2015.

I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 and 50 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) (No. 2) Regulations 2015.

2. Part 4 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) shall be applied in respect of all classes of qualified households-

(a) with effect from 15 June 2015, by Offaly County Council; and

(b) with effect from 29 June 2015, by Carlow County Council, Clare County Council, Cork City Council and Tipperary County Council.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

For the purpose of facilitating the phased introduction of the new Housing Assistance Payment scheme under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 , these Regulations provide that Part 4 of the Act will be applied in respect of all classes of qualified household by-

(a) Offaly County Council, from 15 June 2015; and

(b) Carlow County Council, Clare County Council, Cork City Council and Tipperary County Council, from 29 June 2015.
