I, MICHAEL NOONAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving full effect to Directive 2014/59/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 20141 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Bank Recovery and Resolution) (Amendment) Regulations 2016. | ||
2. The European Communities (Financial Collateral Arrangements) Regulations 2010 ( S.I. No. 626 of 2010 ) (as amended by Regulation 191 of the European Union (Bank Recovery and Resolution) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 289 of 2015 )) are amended by inserting after Regulation 19 the following: | ||
“Relationship with law giving effect to the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive | ||
19A. Nothing in these Regulations affects the application of the European Union (Bank Recovery and Resolution) Regulations 2015 ( SI No 289 of 2015 ).”. | ||
