Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 26th July, 2016. | ||
The Government, on the request of the Minister for Justice and Equality and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Justice and Equality (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2016. | ||
2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Justice and Equality conferred on her by— | ||
(a) sections 1(3C), 2(5), 2A(2), 2B, 2D(4), 4, 5, 6A(3), 9(1D), 11(5), 12A, 13, 15(2), 16, 17, 18 and 20 of, | ||
| ||
and | ||
| ||
(b) paragraphs 6, 7, 8(1) and 9 of the Second Schedule to, | ||
the Data Protection Act 1988 (No. 25 of 1988) are delegated to Dara Murphy, Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality. | ||

The Justice and Equality (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2016 delegates to Dara Murphy, Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality the statutory powers and duties of the Minister for Justice and Equality under the Data Protection Act 1988 mentioned in the Order. |
