S.I. No. 586/2017 - Charities Act 2009 (Section 33) Order 2017


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 22nd December, 2017.

I, SEAN KYNE, Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 33 of the Charities Act 2009 (No. 6 of 2009), the Charities (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 348 of 2017 ) and the Rural and Community Development (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 432 of 2017 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Charities Act 2009 (Section 33) Order 2017.

2. In this Order “Act of 2009” means the Charities Act 2009 (No. 6 of 2009).

3. (1) Each body or office holder specified in Part 1 of the Schedule is prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (a) of the definition of “relevant regulator” in section 33(6) of the Act of 2009.

(2) The body specified in Part 2 of the Schedule is prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of “relevant regulator” in section 33(6) of the Act of 2009.
