I, SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 33 of 2014), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (Commencement) Order 2018. | ||
2. The 14th day of May 2018 is appointed as the day on which section 23 of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 33 of 2014) comes into operation. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) | ||
The Order will commence section 40A of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 33 of 2014) with effect from 14 May 2018. Section 23 inserts a new section 40A (Conditions attached to registration). The effect of the order will be to permit a registration board, in the interests of public safety, to attach conditions to the registration of a person who has a relevant medical disability. |
