Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Insurance (Amendment) Act 2018 (No. 21 of 2018), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Insurance (Amendment) Act 2018 (Commencement) (Part 4) Order 2018. | ||
2. The 1st day of December 2018 is appointed as the day on which Part 4 of the Insurance (Amendment) Act 2018 (No. 21 of 2018) comes into operation. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) | ||
This Order appoints 1 December 2018 as the date on which Part 4 of the Insurance (Amendment) Act 2018 comes into operation. | ||
Part 4 of the Insurance (Amendment) Act 2018 provides for the establishment and operation of the Motor Insurers Insolvency Compensation Fund (MIIC Fund). |
